Honors Day recognizes outstanding academics, service and teaching in the Chemistry Department. APRIL 27, 2006 - The Department of Chemistry held its annual Honors Day Awards Ceremony on Thursday April 26, 2006 as the culmination of the '05-'06 academic year. Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, and fellow Chemistry faculty member Dr. Bruce Bursten was the guest speaker. Awards were given to outstanding Undergraduates in Analytical, Organic and Physical Chemistry along with general awards and recognitions for achievement and scholarship. Graduate awards were given in specific areas of chemistry as well as overall service, teaching, research and merit awards. One exceptional staff member was recognized for their service to the department. Members of the faculty were also recognized for their achievements in the way of publications, appointments, and prestigious awards.
